My daughter sent me this panoramic image, by photographer Dave Bergman, of the inauguration that is absolutely amazing in quality and detail. The photo, which is multiple images stitched together is posted on the internet for all to see and is truly a great work of art. You can visit the site by clicking the image below. Once you are at the site, you can use the controls in the top left corner to “zoom and pan”… The photo is of such quality that you can zoom into close proximity to see the actual facial expressions of the crowd.

In one of my former lives I was a photography student, and so I have a special appreciation for this.
We have both posted articles about the Windows Live Essentials downloads, but I cannot recall if either of us mentioned that the new Photo Gallery includes a “stitch-together” (useful for panoramas!) tool built-in.
