Turn Your Photos Into Something Awesome with iPiccy Photo Tools

October 31, 2011

There is quite a lineup of online image editors these days, but there is one I bet you have not tried and it is called iPiccy.  Out of the gate, iPiccy is unique in that a registration is not required.  On top of that iPiccy is fast, very easy to use and offers quite a selection of tools that will enable you to to quickly and easily edit, enhance, share and print all of your photos from any Internet browser.

iPiccy

iPiccy is currently in the beta stages of development; which means it is in the public testing stage and which means it will continue to improve.

iPiccy provides new, easy-to-use tools for modifying pictures, using advanced image processing. iPiccy offers the easiest user interface and workflow of any photo editing application, allowing users to easily pull images from any Web site or file folder. iPiccy includes an extensive variety of easy Web-based photo-editing tools such as Auto-fix, Rotate, Crop, Resize and Color adjustment and Sharpen – all in one place and in real-time. In addition, iPiccy can also be used to turn photos into creative masterpieces, with clever special effects like Liquify, painter, vignette, pencils, and many more. iPiccy.com works flawlessly in any Web browser and is compatible with Mac, Windows and Linux. And since iPiccy lives on the Web, it is constantly evolving as new image-editing technology is developed and the needs of the user base change.

iPiccy includes more then 30 creative tools including basic effects such as Sepia, Black and White, Color tint, Bloom, and Cross process; advanced effects such as Unsharp Mask, Local Contrast, Image equaluzer plus an assortment of borders and frame shapes. In addition iPiccy have advanced built-in painter and text editor.  Need a quick method to apply a watermark to an image, then give iPiccy a try.

iPiccy

There was one thing in iPiccy that I did not see and that was the ability to create an arrow. Usually this can be found under the tool to create a line. Maybe in a future version I will see this option.  Otherwise, this online editor is a great one in my book.

A Free Clipboard Manager That Saves Every Text and Image You Copy to the Clipboard

October 27, 2011

Typically when you cut or copy text (or an image), it is saved transparently to the Windows clipboard. The problem with this operation is that if you perform a cut or copy operation multiple times, the previous instance of what you cut or copied is wiped from the clipboard.

Free Clipboard ManagerA solution to this problem is to use a clipboard manager that allows you to save multiple instances of a cut/copy operation. Today I want to lead you to really neat clipboard manager, that is relatively new, that is portable and will allow you to copy and store multiple instances of text and images.  It is called Free Clipboard Manager

Free Clipboard Manager

Free Clipboard Manager

Free Clipboard Manager

Free Clipboard Manager saves every text and image that is copied in the clipboard! This is useful if you have to take a lot of screenshots or if you need to access to multiple notes of part of code without the need to paste them in a text editor. Simply hit CTRL-C or PRINT SCREEN to save automatically the clipboard content to hdd! To copy them back to clipboard, select the item, right click with the mouse and select “copy item to clipboard”. The saved content can also be accessed with explorer. Everything is saved in the directory “clipboard”. The software also has an option to prevent user/password to be saved to hdd. Selecting the option “don’t save text with less than 20 chars”, user and password with less than 20 chars, are only copied to clipboard.

Make Your Photos and Videos Automatically Fly From Your Camera to Your Computer

October 24, 2011

I spend much of my obsession for technology, by looking for the latest technology in computers and computer accessories on Amazon. It is such a vast resource that you can literally spend hours upon hours browsing their site.

Today, I came across a technology that I did not know about that is just downright impressive. I am sure many of you out there have digital cameras that use the SDHC (Secure Digital High Capacity Cards) in your camera. Typically, after you take your pictures you manually have to transfer the pictures to your computer by either connecting the camera to the computer or by removing the SDHC card from the camera and copying the pictures to the computer.

Well, appears there is a new technology available that allows you to wirelessly (and automatically) transfer or upload JPEG photos & videos fast through your home Wi-Fi network thanks to built in 802.11n speed. You are probably asking, how does this work, my camera does not have wireless (wi-fi) built into the camera???

How this does work is that you can purchase an SDHC card (reasonably priced in my opinion) that has a wireless transmitter built into the SDHC memory card. It is called, Eye-Fi Connect X2. Appears that the cards are available in a 4GB and 8GB’s.
