Get A Great Paid Android App For FREE Every Day

After getting my tablet PC, the Toshiba Thrive, I was excited and motivated to learn more about the Android Operating System and the apps that are available.  If you know me and follow my blog, you know that the blog predominantly features FREE software. When I started using my tablet PC I soon discovered that there were numerous FREE apps available through the Android Market.  I plan to feature some of those apps here on the blog.  Another thing I noticed is that many of the Android Apps, that are paid apps, are reasonably priced; however, I still like FREE.

Recently, while surfing through Amazon.com (one of my favorite places), I noticed that Amazon has an Appstore for Android, as well.  The Appstore also features FREE apps in addition to the paid apps.  What caught my attention was that Amazon features a paid Android App for FREE every day.

Beautiful Desktop Clock With Alpha Transparency

Here is another desktop clock that I have added to my collection, called TheAeroClock, that features alpha-transparency.

Alpha compositing (Alpha-Transparency) is the process of combining an image with a background to create the appearance of partial transparency. In computer graphics, we have given the formulas above for the color channels in a composite of two partially transparent images.

TheAeroClock is a desktop clock that is fully customizable. For example, you can change the  total transparency, size, setting, and the selection of the clock’s appearance. I particularly like the glass texture.   Oh, I forgot to mention, it is a portable app, as well.

LED Widescreen Monitor for Under $100 (While It Lasts)

Often I am asked about various computer products and deals which leads me to explore around for the deals. At TigerDirect I found a 20” LED Widescreen Monitor for $79, after instant savings and rebate. It appears this bargain is in effect until October 22nd.  If you are looking for a monitor as an add-on to your notebook or second monitor for a dual display setup, this one may be hard to pass up.
