Ok, with Pocket TV there is good news and there is bad news. The good news is that Pocket TV is a small pocket-sized device that will turn your TV into a Smart TV by simply plugging the device into the HDMI port on your TV. The bad news is that Pocket TV will not be available until September or October of this year.
Pocket TV is unique in that it is a fully functioning (thumb-sized) micro-computer, with Wi-Fi, running Android OS 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). PocketTV uses the HDMI port on the TV as the display (up to 1080p resolution). In essence, what you are experience on your Android based smartphone, you will be able to experience on your large screen TV (such as downloading apps from Google Play Store, streaming videos, playing games, social networking, web browsing, etc…). Pocket TV also comes with a standard IR remote or an optional air remote. You can even use your Android Smartphone as a remote.
