In the late 20th century the Bald Eagle was on the brink of extinction; however, it has made a recovery and was removed from the U.S. federal government’s list of endangered species. The Bald Eagle is also the national bird for the United States. I have had the opportunity to see the Bald Eagle in the wild and this wallpaper tells it all…

A very cool wallpaper of a Praying Mantis… The Praying Mantis is quite common in my region; seen especially in August and September.
By any name, these fascinating insects are formidable predators. They have triangular heads poised on a long “neck,” or elongated thorax. Mantids can turn their heads 180 degrees to scan their surroundings with two large compound eyes and three other simple eyes located between them. – source: National Geographic
