ANDROID – A FREE Smartphone And Tablet GPS Navigation App That Requires No Internet Connection

When you use your smartphone or tablet as a GPS Navigator, the mapping component often needs to handshake with the internet in order to perform the map updates. This is all fine and good if you are in areas where the updates can occur. An alternative solution that will make your phone and/or tablet a true GPS device is to download the app called MapFactor: GPS Navigator.

MapFactor: GPS Navigation

MapFactor Navigator is a free turn-by-turn GPS navigation app for Android phones and tablets using OpenStreetMaps data. Maps are installed on the SD card so there is no need for an Internet connection when traveling. Map and app updates are FREE every month.  If you live in the U.S., you will have option to download map data for sub-regions and individual states.
