I often drive the interstate in my area. This benefit being introduced by Google Maps will be of benefit when it comes to hazards and slowdowns. Speed Traps is not of my concern, due I typically set the cruise to stay within the means of the speed limit. I have found, as vehicles become more technologically advanced and safer, driver’s are taking more risks, such as exceeding the speed limit by at much as 15 to 20 mph….


This week, however, Google announced the next best thing: Starting immediately, drivers will be able to report hazards, slowdowns and speed traps right on Google Maps.

    1. No doubt; however, I would have to research that. I know Waze had the speed trap feature and come to think of it, I think (and that is dangerous) I had Google Maps alert me to a speed trap. I am surprised the States are not using more camera enforcement on the interstates where they could move the cameras around. I know that would not be popular but would relieve the Police to do other matters such as fighting actual crime.
