A Camcorder With A Built-In Projector

April 3, 2013

With the advent of the smartphone, with built in cameras and video recorders, the makers of camcorders needed to become more innovative. An example of this higher level of innovation can be found in the Sony HDR-PJ230/B High Definition Handycam Camcorder. This camcorder has it all; a built-in 8.9 megapixel still image camera, 27X optical zoom, 1920 x 1080 high definition resolution, 8GB embedded Flash memory and much more.  But, get this —  the Sony HDR-PJ230/B has a built-in video projection system that is powerful enough to project an image up to a 100-inch diagonal screen. Now this is what I call carrying your whole multimedia system in your pocket…  Amazing!

Olympus VN-8100PC Digital Voice Recorder

If you do not own a voice recorder due to the thinking a voice recorder is a bulky device to carry that is difficult to use, then look no further. The Olympus VN-8100C Digital Voice Recorder is your answer.  A voice recorder is very handy device in many situations.  For example, I do security work that requires a lot of documentation. Instead of using a notepad and pen to document events, I use my Olympus voice recorder. The recordings are date and time stamped; plus, I have the ability to transfer (and archive) individual recordings to my PC in a WMA or MP3 format.  Another use of this particular recorder is that it has a microphone jack which allows you to tie the recorder into a sound board to record special events. The results of the recordings are amazing. There are so many uses with a voice recorder; especially a digital recorder.  You just have to start using it.

Battle Tank for sale on

June 7, 2009

It really does not take much to humor me. I clicked on a link over at “Tux in the Midwest” in reference to a post about the “Three Wolf Moon T-Shirt – Magic on Amazon” (which, by the way is really a cool shirt). I arrived at and noticed in some of the thumbnail images, a photo of a really neat gadget for sale. This gadget is a “tank”; Yes, a tank for $19,995.00 (with a $30 Amazon discount). Apparently this tank (the Badonkadonk JL421) has been on Amazon for quite some time and many of you may have known about it. Based on the number of customer reviews it appears the tank has been available on Amazon since 2005. If you want to get a good laugh, I encourage you to visit Amazon [ CLICK HERE ] and least read the customer reviews.  If you are interested in purchasing the tank, the specs are reflected below.

What would you do with one of these?

Product Description

The JL421 Badonkadonk is a completely unique, extremely rare land vehicle and battle tank. Designed with versatility in mind, the Donk can transport cargo or a crew of five internally or on the roof, and can be piloted from within the armored shell or from an exposed standing position through the hatch, thanks to special one-way steel mesh armor windows and a control stick that pivots up and down to allow piloting from the standing or seated positions. The interior is fully carpeted and cozy, with accent lighting and room for up to five people. A 400 watt premium sound system with PA is mounted to project sound both into the cabin and outward from behind the windows. The exterior is a steel shell with a rust patina, and features head and tail lights, turn signal lights, trim lighting, underbody lighting, fixed slats protecting the windows, and a unique industrial-strength rubberized flexible skirt that shields and protects the wheels to within an inch of the ground, while still allowing for enough flex to give clearance over bumpy and uneven terrain. Master power, ignition, all lighting, and stereo features are controlled from a single switchboard to the left of the driver, again accessible from either the seated or standing position. Standard drive is an air-cooled, 6hp Tecumseh gasoline (unleaded only) engine, with centrifugal clutch, giving the Donk a top speed of 40 mph. This vehicle is not licensed for use on public roads, and is intended as a recreational vehicle only. Badonkadonks are produced on an order-by-order basis, with each one having it’s own unique set of features. With your order is included unlimited consultations with the designer and manufacturer concerning all relevant options (a representative from NAO will contact you shortly after your order). Price does not include shipping and handling.
