STIRR – Another FREE Online Streaming TV Service Similar to Pluto TV and XUMO

Recently I began looking into various online streaming TV services that are legal and FREE. So far, I had found Pluto TV and XUMO; and thought that was the end to this until I came across STIRR.

STIRR appears to have launched in January 2019 and in a nutshell, I found it to be similar to both XUMO and Pluto TV where you have a broad range of channels to watch. STIRR, from what I could gather is ramping up and just recently added more channel and category options. Like Pluto TV and XUMO, STIRR has an app available you can install on your smartphone so you can watch TV on the go.

News, sports, entertainment, and more are there for the taking; but, the content is typically older content or content that you normally would not find with the paid services. With that being said, I give these services credit for selecting sources that are worthy of watching and following.

Two FREE Online TV Options That You Need To Check Out

When I go camping in my RV I typically use my smartphone’s data plan to stream content (without wifi) to the TV in my RV using a device called  “Screenbeam Mini 2“. You can read my recent review on the Screenbeam Mini 2 HERE. It is an awesome device that can be purchased HERE

For that real TV experience, I use two totally FREE online TV services that I want to share with you. One of the services I am sure you may have heard of, but the second was something that was totally new to me. No, you won’t find all the top channels you typically watch, but the content from both of these services will keep you entertained: both cover a wide range of topics (channels): both are optimized for streaming: and, both are available as mobile apps. I am also seeing where both of the services are actually being bundled and included with some of the newer TV’s.

Ok, now for the grand finale and time to reveal both of these services. I hope you enjoy them…

[Android] FitzyTV – FREE Streaming TV Aggregator That Transforms Your Smartphone Into A Portable DVR

If you have a television subscription through your cable or satellite provider (including web-based ones such as DirecTV Now, LoCast, etc…) you definitely need this app (FitzyTV) to pull in the channels that you are subscribed to in one place. Typically, you have to download specific apps for specific channels. FitzyTV eliminates that and makes watching TV from your mobile device a pleasure; plus, you can Chromecast or Screenbeam what you are watching to the big screen.  I could not get over how fast this app loads the channels; plus, it pulled in all the channels I was entitled to from my cable provider. I found that FitzyTV also throws in some other channels as well, that are very good. It even tells you what is playing on each channel.

A big selling point to this app is the DVR function that will allow you to record your favorite programs. The DVR function will require a subscription. FitzyTV is the world’s first inexpensive cloud DVR solution. Just log in with your Cable/Satellite provider and FitzyTV will let you watch and record all of your favorite channels. This transforms your smartphone into a portable DVR.

Check out the video below to learn more. You can get FitzyTV at the Google Play Store (see source link below). Being a lover of software and apps, this one really got me excited to try.

Watch Live American TV Online With USTVnow

We all envision the day that we can watch TV online without jumping through a bunch of hoops and give us the same ease of use that we are accustomed to when watching TV at home. USTVnow is an online service that is as close to this vision as it gets; that includes all major terrestrial stations that an American citizen or resident would normally receive. The FREE version gives you LIVE streaming access to stations such as ABC, CBS, CW, FOX, NBC, PBS, and My9 in high resolution for 45 days. After the 45 days, it drops to low resolution. You have the option to upgrade to a paid plan, which includes the aforementioned networks; PLUS, additional top cable TV channels. I tried USTVnow; and, at high resolution, you cannot beat it. I haven’t experienced it at low resolution yet. After I discovered USTVnow, which has been streaming live TV on or before 2012, I was wondering How Is This Legal?  Anyhow, thought I would share this with you and let you decide…
