Many folks in my generation and the generation before me are reluctant to shop online for fear of being taken, receiving the wrong product and/or are worried that the return process is too much of a hassle.
I have been a shopper at Amazon for years, feeding my obsession for tech products and I have had nothing but a good experience with them. I am a frequent visitor of Amazon’s electronics and computer department; not only to shop, but to get customer reviews on tech products that I write about (or may be interested in sometime in the future).
When I am not shopping for tech I often head to their main directory listing (that many people overlook). The Directory, labelled as the Earth’s Biggest Selection, consists of various categories with sub-categories that will point you in the right direction. If you shop Amazon, it is a good idea to bookmark the directory in your browser (see below).
To help you out this Holiday season, to find that special gift for that special someone, I have listed the main categories below. Have a safe Holiday season: do something special for someone; and, let the shopping begin…

We are now in the midst of the 12 Days of Christmas and if you are like me, I have a tendency to procrastinate and/or I am at a total loss when it comes to gifting. An option that I use when it gets’ close to Christmas is Amazon.com, which is one of the largest online retailers. Being the geekster that I am, I am a regular visitor to their computer and electronics section to see what is new and to wish for my next purchase. I especially like, that due to their size, you get numerous reviews on products from customers.
As a result of the size of Amazon, it is often difficult to get to the place you want to be. What many people do not know is that Amazon has a main store directory [ CLICK HERE ] that is a great launching point.
GEEK BONUS AREA
Been a little under the weather this week; however, the upside is that it gave me time to research and shop for some tech items for my Church. While I was doing the research it dawned on me that most people I know do not know where the geek shops are online. I am often asked, “Where can I shop online for Computers, Computer Parts, Accessories, Electronics and Other IT Products?”…
I could just refer them directly to a specific manufacturer; however, I want them to have a learning experience. I will often refer them to a company that specializes in a broad range of products. The list below is pretty much my knock down list; however, if there is one not reflected; PLEASE, by all means share it with us AND I will considering adding it to the list.

Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving when major retailers around the country discount products to help kick off the Christmas shopping season. This Black Friday ads are usually kept secret until you receive the circulars in your Thanksgiving Day newspaper. However at Black-Friday.net, we give you the advantage by showing you all of the Black Friday 2008 ads before anyone else. We also offer direct links to each product so you can purchase the items online on Black Friday without having to stand in line at the store! This is the first I heard about this site and I have not had the opportunity to actually confirm the deals that they have in place.
Every Sunday in the newspaper we receive the sales circulars from the local retail stores reflecting items that are on sale. I’m usually in the hunt for electronics. SalesCircular. Com and SundaySaver.com are sites dedicated to bringing you the circulars so that you can make comparisons and shop for the best bargain. When you visit SalesCircular.com, you will select your State, then you will be redirected to a page where you can select your item(s) of interest, and then you will be directed to a page which will reflect the results for comparison. When you visit SundaySaver.com, you will see logos representing the stores. If you click on a logo you will be redirected to that stores website where you can browse their circulars and deals for the week.
FreeAfterRebate.info is a site dedicated to bringing you those deals out there where there are rebate offers. Often, with these offers, you end up getting the item for free. The only thing expended on your part is your time in completing the rebate forms, mailing them and waiting 6 – 8 weeks for the rebate check.
